TAKE 30 DAYS TO LEARN HOW TO DISCERN GOD‘S VOICE
 
Learning to hear from Jesus regularly should be a normal part of our relationship with Him. He said, “My sheep hear My voice” (John 10:27). This verse not only shows that it’s possible, but that it is normal. This does not mean it is easy. For me, it has taken a lifetime of learning and practice. I am better at hearing His voice now than when I first started, but I am still learning.
 
Being able to talk to Him directly and have Him answer our questions is the one factor that makes Christianity distinct from every other religion known to man. As a young disciple, I began asking Him questions. I simply believed that He is a real person. I also believed He was not rude; if I asked Him a question, He would answer me - and He did! Perhaps this sounds too good to be true, but I cannot think of a time when I asked Him something that He did not answer. I just needed to learn not to tell Him how or when.
Many Christians are not confident in saying that they hear from God, while others believe He tells them whether or not they should buy beans or peas. Somewhere in the middle of these two extremes, we will find Him speaking, as a good Father who loves to communicate to his children. While I don’t believe He speaks to us about every little detail all the time, we should know the wonder of hearing His voice.
